Frequently Asked Questions Q: How long do I use the medicine before I expect to see a result? A: This will vary from person to person, depending on their general level of health and how long the condition and symptoms have been present. Other factors, such as a person’s level of nutrition and stress, also affect a person’s general immunity and vitality. As a general guideline:

A: This will depend on whether the illness is acute or chronic. bodyhealth clinic does not recommend taking repeat doses of homeopathy consecutively for longer than a week (unless otherwise advised) without having a break. This ensures the body does not come to rely on the homeopathic medicine and encourages the body’s own normal healing processes to be stimulated. Q: Can I give my baby Homeopathic medicine? A: Yes. Homeopathy is suitable for babies and also effective for adults. All homeopathic products, unless otherwise advised, are suitable for all stages of life including pregnancy, infancy and adulthood. However, bodyhealth clinic recommends consulting your homeopath before giving any medicine to children under 2 years. Please follow the recommended dosage indicated on the bottle. If symptoms persist, please see your homeopath. Q: How do I store my Homeopathic medicines? A: bodyhealth clinic homeopathic medicines contain no synthetic preservatives. They are light and heat sensitive. Store below 30oC, and preferably in a cool dark place away from strong odours such as camphor, menthol moth balls, soaps, perfumes or aromatherapy oils etc. As with all medicines, keep out of reach of children. Q: What if I have an appointment, but can’t make it to my session? A: bodyhealth clinic has a strict policy of a 12 hours cancellation prior to your appointment to avoid being billed for the consult. Other factors to consider Antidoting Certain substances are known to antidote homeopathic medicines in some people. It is therefore advisable to avoid these if possible: Coffee (including decaffeinated), mints (toothpastes, lollies, chewing gum), camphor, menthol and eucalyptus (usually found in vapour rubs, cold remedies and athletic liniments). Storage of homeopathic medicines Homeopathic medicines last indefinitely if stored correctly. Keep in a cool, dark, dry place (not the fridge) away from strong odours and heat (eg. camphor, menthol, moth balls, soaps, essential oils, perfumes etc). As with all medicines, keep out of reach of children. bodyhealth clinic homeopathic medicines May be supplied in the form of liquid tincture, pilules or powder. Taking Homeopathic Medicines Homeopathic Medicines are delicate and need careful handling. Touch them as little as possible. Pilules should be tipped into the bottle cap or onto a clean palm and transferred into the mouth, allowing it to dissolve under the tongue. Never return handled pilules to the container. Where possible, take the dose half an hour before or after eating and drinking, cleaning teeth or smoking. This does not apply in an emergency or for acute cases where it should be given as soon as possible. Homeopathic pilules can be crushed and dissolved in room temperature water but do not swallow the pilules down with water, tea or coffee.
